BRAVES ALUMNI
Some 2,000 minor hockey players have proudly donned the Braves uniform, including Scott Page, first Captain of the OHL Mississauga Ice Dogs (now Niagara Ice Dogs); NHL great Jason Spezza of the Ottawa Senators and current OHL and Canada World Juniors phenom John Tavares. Tavares was named the most valuable player at the 2009 IIHF World Junior Championship scoring 15 points in during Canada's drive for five campaign. Upon his return from World Junior competition the six-foot, 200-pound centreman from Oakville, Ontario was traded from the Oshawa Generals to the London Knights.
